What if we let Museveni become Uganda’s King?

Why keep hustling with something we know we can’t avoid? By now, a true follower of African politics, particularly Uganda has already discerned how Only luck might be the only remaining phenomenon to send away Museveni and his cronies and yet we don’t even know the repercussions that might befall from that. I mean how do you expect to kick Museveni out when the top head of the electoral commission is appointed by him, the Chief Justice to do the handover is appointed by him, the Chief in Defense of the Army is his son? They have to serve their master, employer! The East African heads who are supposed to come to your rescue all bow down to him (the same for African Union), All media houses are lectured on what to report and what not to report, All the rich men feed with him on the same table; who will fund your strikes?

Every Non-Government Organization is closely monitored, he decides how much money should be printed without considering any prevailing economic situation. A country with over seventy tribes that have different political aspirations. They all want to vote their own or at least forego voting. He decides whose business should thrive and whose should fall. He decides even the sentences in the courtrooms!

The people are slowly losing the motivation and hope of seeing a change in Uganda to which some have resorted to sit back and watch from a distance. Hundreds of activists are wallowing in prison. Some have mysteriously disappeared. The media houses that would help crack down such evils are slowly losing ground due to threats that rooster every day. Even the opposition that is responsible for the bringing down of the dictator looks so incapable and disorganized that people would rather stay with the devil that they know than an Angel they don’t.

Every day, Museveni thinks on how to sustain power in the next five years and designs all the strategies to balance the external and internal eye as the country’s institutions run in shambles. Unemployment now at 80%and increasing, poverty continuing to drill even into the former middle class. Job attainment running to the King Louis IV technical know who era, Something must be done and yet it can’t be done. The countries that would give an inspiration to have got free from dictators look even more troubled than when they had the dictators. I mean, look at Libya, D.R.Congo, and now Sudan.

Anybody is right to fear for what might happen after Museveni is gone. The army is all divided into different units; Special Forces, land forces and others. This might be normal for any country but if you scrutinize the inside of these units, there are certain percentages of particular tribes in particular units.

The rise of Bobi Wine seemed a great wave towards the deportation of Museveni. He tried in his best way to expose Museveni’s atrocities to the foreign lands. Problem is, you can’t only talk about bad things about Museveni. He already has an international image that will take long to get erased. I mean why should you fight a man who gives refuge to the refugees? The Pope can not second that! Why should you fight a man who dared to go and attack the most feared terrorist group Al quaeda in Somalia; even where United States had given up! How can you fight a man who has been greatly involved in peace keeping mission both in Military and round-table-talks. He is a man who knows how to play his cards very well.

When Bobi Wine made him realize the mighty power buried in Social media, he quickly employed a lot of heads to find a solution and he is almost there! I mean he has money and power. Which Ugandan blogger is rich enough to refuse free money to just praise “The King?“. Chances are, if you fail to accept money, better delete your page because the gun’s barrel may point at your head in the darkness.

Back to my point. If we let Museveni become our king, we will have created another peaceful monarchy in Africa to add to the one of Swaziland and Lesotho. And you know what? We shall have let the man rule without a lot of pressure and maybe he an then get time to think about the economy and not only thinking about sustaining himself in power every single day! If the Ugandan opposition have to dispose Museveni , they have to think harder and better than him, his resources and his diehards. I rest my case.

Cryptography. Should Africa embrace the bitcoin revolution or sit back again and pretend like nothing is going on?

By now, I know you must have heard a lot about words like cryptography, bitcoin, etherium, litecoin And so many other such words. It’s also possible that you’re reading such words for the first time. Don’t worry, I got you! Those familiar with these terms might have thought of investing in bitcoin or have already invested your money. Has it worked out yet? I know it has. or it hasn’t yet.

Cryptography is slowly taking verge in the economic field with Shatoshi Nakamoto’s bringing its birth with the invention of bitcoin. It then stealthily penetrated into the monetary system without any confidence. Some people looked at it as a form of cyber theft as a lot of hackers roamed the system. Many investors who invested in it lost much money but now, good news keep bumping in as security continues to tighten in the system, confidence in the system is getting mustered and millions of people are joining the new wave!

Question is. What’s up Africa? By the end of 2018, bitcoin was the most searched word on google in Nigeria and it ranked number one on google trends in Africa. Bitcoin has got a lot of investors in the United States and Europe.

In Africa, Nigeria and South Africa have embraced the new form of soft money. Zimbabwe, Uganda and others are slowly peeping in but with little confidence.

Soft money is the new trend available now and there is a possibility that soon it will replace the hard cash. It’s time for Africa to jump onto the truck and race on. Cryptography does not need a lot of documentation or a complex procedure. One only needs a gadget and internet.

However much the the inner processes seem complicated and hard to understand, one does not need to know everything, just the current banking system. But for the start, one would wish to know full information so that he/gets enlightened and is able to speak from an informed point of view. If you stay with me at this blog, we shall walk together and muster this system.

Kyambogo guild campaigns started off to a hook on Tuesday as over 10 guild presidential aspirants returned their nomination forms with chanting and ululating crowds as they escorted their candidates to show their mantle to the Kyambogo University Electoral commission. The nomination day fed a lot of humor to the Banda population and those who had enough time to enjoy the space as each camp rolled in with something new they could think of.

The beguiling disappearance of Kimera William.

Early on Tuesday as Kimera’s supporters looked for him to congratulate him on his nomination success, they were met with bad news of his attack and sudden disappearance in the night.

No one could believe this development until his closest friend showed up with a bandaged forehead and arm, claiming that they were attacked in the night, around 10pm, by an unknown gang as they were in their door to door campaign.

The case was immediately reported to police, but the police was not contented with situations surrounding the case as the bandaged student failed to revealed the bandaged areas for confirmation.

Rumors have been continuously declaring this as a political stance, but no one is sure. There are growing suspicions among the various camps as the search for the missing lion continues.

The Kyambogo community has been asked to provide any information concerning this incidence to the police. The major thing now is directed at finding Kimera and then see what comes next.

We hope Kimera Williams comes out from wherever he is concealed from, safe and sound.

Today, 7th March starts the guild presidential debate at the campus and Kimera’s supporters and stranded with no ideas. We will however keep you posted about the future developments in this story.

BOBI WINE Declares his Utmost Ambition. It’s a great inspiration from the ghetto boy who dared!

Provided that we’re united, with or without me, peaceful change is inevitable in our country. We cannot go for guns, because we know the problems the people who used them have caused.

Bobi Wine.

Bobi wine speaking at one of his rallies.

Bobi wine grew up from one of the ghettos within Kampala city, strange place for a future icon. He forged his life into the music industry, rocked every billboard and made his name penetrate into every household. He did not chase luxury like his other counterparts. He was wise. He had a vision. He had strict principles. He did not follow the crowd but followed his mind. He chased respect, genuine wealth, the wealth attained from super hard work.
Now, after laying a perfect background that is visible to everyone, he decides to do the dare!

In a country like Uganda, deciding to stand against the president (Museveni), especially one who believes that there is no other man than himself who can lead the country, is the same as declaring that you’re ready to offer your health, wealth, family and life for your people. It’s not something done by any coward. It can only be done by a super courageous man, one with a heart of steel.

As any boy living in any Ugandan ghetto would, Bobi did not become an exception this time to drug addiction. He fell for the game, but even when he did, he looked at how to conquer, to stand at the top, and indeed he deed (shhh…I know the right spelling). He even got entrusted as the ghetto president ( The ghetto president of the republic of Uganja). He became an inspiration to the ghetto youths, a music preacher, a credible motivation singer.

Then he did the strange thing! He decided it was time to part ways with drugs. Time to preach and change the addicted youths. Time to be a honorary man in society. Did he succeed? Yes! He did! His followers parted ways with drugs because he looked like a cult to them, a living role model. They were determined to do whatever he said.

He now turned the music into a real teaching ground. It was no longer only about entertainment, but edutainment as he terms it. Within a short time his name was among the country’s great business moguls. His story inspired anyone who got a chance to hear about it. He did not blame anyone for the poor state he found himself in but worked hard to change it. He became, and still is, proof that hard work pays.

No matter how much wealth he amassed, he did not draw away from his people. He was always available to help, wether a peasant trader’s source of living had been burnt down and he was the only one standing for him or when there was need for him to sensitize people using his music. His music became the tool.

“Its not that I don’t fear. I am a natural human being but I know there is something more powerful than fear and that is the future and destiny of our country.”

Bobi Wine.
Bobi wine in red color which has turned a threat to the ruling government.

All this has made him the darling of the Ugandan youths who now look at him as the only hope for change. He has created a legacy behind him that has caused a new sickness of uncertainty to the ruling president. A great legacy that cannot be tarnished within weeks, months or years. The legacy of a people’s man, a common man. His natural-made enemy has turned every stone to rub his name off the scene but no good results seem to be yielding.

With the malpractices that characterize many African elections, we hope Bobi Wine has a secret he holds for making him trust in the forthcoming 2021 Uganda’s general elections.

He implored the students to first overcome fear as they hard done in the first place by coming to the assembly amidst the deployment of police officers everywhere.

“Museveni has invested in us fear but the youth have defeated fear.” Mr. Mulindwa said.

Various FDC leaders were seen including Hon. Namazzi Olive, the LC5 Councilor for Kyambogo Institutions to KCCA, who is also a former guild president of the same University, Hon. “We are starting with that speaker,” said one of the students who did not want his names disclosed. ” They think we don’t know who is funding them, now let us battle.

Last week, the Kyambogo guild President Mr Tundulu Jonathan declared a bloody week claiming that he wanted the Twelve weeks and Six weeks policy to get scrapped off.

In the twelve weeks policy, the students are supposed to pay all campus dues within the first twelve weeks of the commencement of the semester. Failure to pay in time stops all the academic biddings of the student and therefore the campus declares that a dead semester for the student.

In the six weeks policy the students are mandated to pay all campus dues within the first six weeks of the semester and failure to do so, a surcharge of 50,000 shillings is imposed on the student’s portal.

This has caused a lot of chaos since it was heard by the students. The six weeks policy has already been in place acting with a lot of strong opposition from students.

It’s actually the strongest reasons why the students voted the one strong and popular activist Tundulu Jonathan into the Guild Presidential office to fight the two policies.

However the the guild president received a lot of opposition from the GRC house. Together with the speaker, Mr. Kidega Brian moved a motion to Impeach the President out of office.

When asked why, they gave one of the reasons to be the declaration of the bloody week as one of the reasons why they want him out, claiming that the strike is on a selfish motive and no one has ever benefited from any strike. They also claim that the guild president is too much involved in national politics and he is forgetting the campus where all focus is supposed to be.

When the guild president learnt of this, he retaliated by demanding for accountability from his ministers. He had asked for this earlier but the ministers had not compiled. When they failed to present it to him, the Guild President responded by suspending all his ministers and promised not to admit them back before they presented accountability to them. These ran to the all the former guild presidential contestants to help them out.

It should be remembered that Mr.Tundulu Jonathan belongs to people power and was recently appointed by Bobi Wine as one of his coordinators, leaving out H.E Kateregga the MAK guild president.

Since then, Tundulu has been very active in every people power activity and this has also increased the opposing forces on his side.

On Monday 30th September 2019(yesterday), the Guild speaker, Mr.Kidega Brain was seen moving around together with the GRCs waving placards advising students to disband Tundulu’s strike since it was intended on selfish motives. This erupted contradicting views as students started to get concerned about the saga.

The speaker and GRCs explaining how the policies were dropped and advising them not to strike

Mr. Tundulu decided to do the same and was seen in a Maroon suit and a black beret with a red star correcting what the speaker was communicating, declaring it a compromised move. In his rants, he claimed that the policy had been forwarded to be enacted by the government and therefore it was the right time to get the Vice Chancellor sign stopping it. He kept hitting on his unending concern for the students who come from humble backgrounds and therefore cannot manage paying in such an early time. This raised a lot of ululation and students jumped in support of their guild president.

The Guild President, Mr. Tundulu Jonathan moving in every lecture room, giving his word.

After the students heard from both sides, rumors started circulating that the Speaker and the GRCs were promised a handshake from the top administration. This drove the concerned students to start planning how to pay back to what they called selfish leaders, promising to start with the speaker. Mr. Kidega Brian was voted on a private students card and therefore all the private students have to get involved if he has to be impeached. Raging post has not yet learnt of the rightful legal means that one has to go through to Impeach a speaker or GRC.

This is indeed an interesting story.

We don’t know how this saga will end but we promise to keep you updated.

Raging post, stay online. Explore the heights.
